Inside Sales Representative

SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting the sales force through identifying and developing self-generated leads from the internet, industry publications, sales generation programs and internally assigned accounts. Responsible for proactive selling.

RESULTS AND EXPECTATIONS

50% of time on outbound calls for Lead Generation and Lead Qualification. 30% of time coordinating activities with the RM. 20% of time will be directed toward CRM and Sales Analysis. Measured on sales growth, qualified lead generation and helping convert leads into sales

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Coordinate with Marketing in the identification and qualification of target end users.
  • Direct Sales campaign targeted at the following:
    • Wood Floor Distributors
    • Wood Floor Contractors
    • Sports Floor Contractors
    • Sports Floor End Users
    • Carpet Cleaners and Restoration
    • Rental Programs
  • Responsible for B2B prospecting by phone (outbound B2B cold calling)
  • Responsible for pre-qualifying sales leads from advertisement, trade shows, Hoover’s research and web inquiries.
  • Responsible for maintaining the CRM system as it relates to the contact information and call history for reporting and tracking of the calls.
  • Provide follow up information to the respective selling organization relating to the prospecting call.
  • Responsible for working with outside sales force to resolve any conflicting issues with current distribution as it relates to new business.
  • Communication with Basic Distribution
  • Price increases, product adds/drops, product launches, and promotions.
  • Contract updates and Special Pricing letters
  • Specific mailings or promotions as directed by VP Sales
  • Build a relationship with key contacts at Gold Distributors to enhance overall communications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Business Administration
  • 2 - 5 years experience

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Fully computer literate
  • MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Queries and pivot tables
  • Knowledge of MS CRM software

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

  • Computer and phone work for extended periods of time

Director of Sales

SUMMARY
Generates revenues at acceptable margins utilizing marketing plans and strategies for all wood floor related products and equipment, primarily through the wood flooring distribution channel, gym floor contractors, carpet cleaners and various alternate channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Responsible for a marketplace (Sales) strategy for all Basic Coatings wood floor products (chemical and equipment).
  • Program Implementation for new and existing products
  • Leadership and management of the sales force.
  • Prepare and collaborate on budgets and projections for all wood floor product sales.
  • Translate market place and customer expectations into new product development specifications, service policies.
  • Assure competitive input and overall product performance feedback is provided to appropriate people in product management and operations
  • Provide direction and leadership in concert with existing customer service activities in order to fully utilize and leverage the Regional Manager role through proactive selling activities i.e., outbound calls, mailings
  • Provide brand presence through relationship building with existing and new accounts/customers.
  • Develop and conduct sales training programs for Basic Distributors and End Users.
  • Develop, implement and manage compensation programs for proper alignment with sales strategy.
  • Ensure utilization of CRM system to provide consistent feedback on competitive activity and Betco Quality.
  • Fiscal responsibility for managing Demo Stock
  • Provide input on forecasting requirements as it relates to new product and promotional campaigns.
  • Provide Sales forecasting
  • Prospecting potential distributor and end user targets
  • Customer service - lead qualification
  • New product penetration
  • Conduct talent recruiting to support sales strategy
  • Provide Technical support

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in Business with emphasis in sales or marketing
  • 7 - 10 years of managerial experience

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Programs
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel selling strategies.
  • Knowledge and experience in consultative selling.
  • Leadership experience in managing selling organizations.
  • Proven performance management skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM a plus.

Coatings Chemist

SUMMARY
Conducts research and experimentation for new product development and process improvement.
Must have experience developing finished coatings products or polymers for use on various flooring substrates including wood, concrete and VCT.
Experience with polymers including urethanes, acrylics, epoxies and UV curable is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Self directed and able to conduct projects with minimal supervision.
  • Direct activities of technicians and specialists.
  • Provide recommendations to QC, QA, and manufacturing concerning test procedures, batch corrections or manufacturing procedures.
  • Develop new formulations as requested.
  • Modify existing formulations as requested.
  • Provide technical assistance to Betco personnel, distributors, end users, government officials and medical personnel.
  • Bring new technology to Betco through vendor meetings, trade journals and seminars.
  • Review literature such as tech sheets, labels and MSDS’s for accuracy.
  • Approve new and alternate raw materials.
  • Participate in training seminars, team meetings, and development meetings.
  • Conduct tour groups through the laboratory.
  • Conduct field testing and troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Develop new test methods when necessary.
  • Work with other departments to complete projects.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Be able to teach wet chemistry testing including but not limited to titrations, pH determinations, foam testing, solids determinations and refractometer readings.
  • Be able to train others in the use of specialized equipment necessary to perform testing including but not limited to FTIR, Taber, UV curing equipment and centrifuge.
  • Be able to teach specialized techniques in order to perform testing including but not limited to finish application, surface preparation, and long term monitoring.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year science degree necessary
  • Must have experience in formulating coatings products or polymers, preferably water based urethane wood coatings, UV finishes for flooring, concrete coatings and VCT finishes.
  • Experience in directing activities of others.
  • Must be able to function as part of a team or as team leader.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent record keeper.
